All the Smokies is a virtual travel guide for Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Cherokee NC.

Here is what others had to say about the hiking trails of the Great Smoky Mountains and National Park.

Laurel Falls-

What a wonderful hike. The Great Smoky Mountains are just spectacular in spring and fall, and the walk to Laurel Falls is just perfect! When you get to the falls, you can sit and just enjoy the sheer beauty of it and the glories of Mother Nature!!  Everyone should see Laurel Falls at least once in their lifetime. It is well worth the walk!!
Sincerely,
A Nature Lover

Laurel Falls

It was a beautiful, easy walk on pavement. However, you can keep going past the falls for a longer hike. (The pavement ends.) This is where we saw a bear high above the trail, in a tree. It was sleeping on our way and watching us on our way back. ~A. Wasserman

Road Prong Trail

We enjoyed hiking the Road Prong Trail (2.4 mi). You can either turn right to Chimney Top or left to Road Prong. We were able to cross the small river and go to the end of the trail which connected to the Appalachian Trail. ~A. Wasserman

Visit Smoky Mountain University, home of the Wild Boars, for entrance exam, bookstore, and campus information. Benefits the Great Smoky Mountain National Park
